ABOUT US

About Us

The Apostolic Christian Church in Aurora is an eclectic group of believers committed to living out the gospel and helping each other become more like Jesus.  Our church family is open to all and is made up of people of all ages. We are a collection of single people and families and we come from diverse economic backgrounds with blue collar workers, students, white collar professionals, stay-at-home moms, and retirees all worshiping together. We are not a mega church and the focus is not on money and programs, but rather on truth and salvation.

The local church community is important, and energy is put into fellowship and building relationships. Lunch is provided for all each Sunday and everyone is invited to stay for a second afternoon service (which is not a repeat of the morning message).

We are a part of the Apostolic Christian Church of America and fellowship with those from our churches around the world is an important part of our identity.

What we believe

The Apostolic Christian Church believes in the infallibility of the Bible, and it is founded on faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. The purpose of the church is to teach the Gospel message of salvation, to nurture the believer, to preserve sound doctrine and to serve others in the likeness of Christ. The church diligently applies New Testament standards to everyday life and worship, and it practices a deep reverence toward God.

Salvation through Jesus Christ is man's greatest treasure. The Apostolic Christian Church seeks to share the joy of this marvelous gift from God, and prays diligently that others also will turn to Jesus Christ in true faith and repentance, experience peace with God and man, and receive the gift of eternal life.

The doctrine of the church is rooted and grounded in the Bible, which is recognized as God-inspired and infallible. We believe the Bible contains all we need for doctrine and instruction in righteousness centered on the gospel message of Jesus Christ and salvation that comes through his death and resurrection.

Our Statement of Faith expresses what we believe and teach based on the Bible.

History

The Denver Apostolic Christian Church was started in 1981 with services held in a Grange Hall in northeast Aurora. The gathering grew quickly and the church moved into the current building on Alameda Ave in 1983. Growth has continued and there are now 90+ people attending on any given Sunday.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 2:38
